Ultimate Quest

Anga Fundarge, the source of corruption

Ultimate Quests are a special type of quest available in Phantasy Star Online 2. Based on the difficulty of the same name from Phantasy Star Online, these quests feature familiar fields with enemies that are similar, yet also unique, to enemies of the original planet. They are areas which have been corrupted by the Photon Beast, Anga Fundarge, which is one of the toughest enemies ARKS may ever have to face. There are currently only two available, though there is data in the code for a third.

Corruption Survey: Naberius

In Corruption Survey: Naberius, ARKS are taken to Corrupted Area: Forest, where numerous Natives of the planet have been corrupted by Anga Fundarge; even those of the Tundra area have corruptions present in the area. Heavily corrupted variants of De Malmoth, Rockbear, and Vol Dragon are the biggest threats in the area.

Corruption Survey: Lillipa

In Corruption Survey: Lillipa, ARKS are taken to Corrupted Area: Underworks, where Anga Fundarge has caused the corruption of the local Mechs; some even appear to be fusions of a few similar Mechs. Mechanized versions of the feline bosses of Naberius as well as an upgraded model of Varder Soma are the largest threats of the area.

Corruption Survey: Amduskia

While Corruption Survey: Amduscia is not currently available, there are some files in the code which make reference to it. There is a full list of AM Aberrations, which are corruptions of the Dragonkin, as well as a few DA Aberrations inspired by Winged Darkers (specifically Lanz Vareda and Luda Sorcerer). Based on an entity titled "dragon_transform", it is also assumed that Tranmizer's corruption will make an appearance as an AM Aberration. It is often assumed that the AM Aberrations will be weak to Bolt, due to the presence of DA Aberrations which would logically be weak to Light and Wind.
